The rugged 24-mm thick chassis has been proven to withstand operating drops of 4 feet with no damage and can survive in extremely harsh environments ranging from -20 to 145 degrees Fahrenheit. It has an enhanced 1000 nits full high definition display and anti-glare coatings to provide clarity in direct sunlight. The Latitude 7220 also features glove responsiveness, including multi-touch movements for users operating the tablet in safety gloves.

The hardware components of the Latitude 7220 are customizable depending on your needs. Options include 8th generation core processors, PCIe solid state drives and dual-hot swappable battery. Additional features include DC-in Mini Serial port, USB-C, USB-A, microSD card slot, fan exhaust and a Kensington lock slot.

The 7220 connects through 802.11ax Wi-Fi and 4G LTE broadband. It has assignable RF pass-through options for WWAN, WLAN and GPS. This allows users to stay connected in dead zones or remote areas.
